Social Mayors tend to organise their day around where the household is. The busiest room usually wins over the quietest one, and a closed door often gets commentary. Arrivals get met, new visitors get inspected and then supervised, and the general position seems to be that whatever is happening would go better with input.

The chattiness is typically part of the pattern rather than a demand for something specific. Trills, chirps, and short conversational sounds tend to appear on approach and greeting. Comfort with handling usually runs alongside it, so this is often the cat who tolerates being picked up mid-sentence.

High human affiliation describes where a cat chooses to be, not an inability to cope alone. The distinction shows up when you leave: sociable is not the same as distressed.
