Free assessment data

Quiz progress, profile context, safety answers, results, and optional pet photos stay in this browser during the ordinary free flow. Photos are stored only on your device and are never sent to Pawsanality, Supabase, Polar, or analytics.

Paid report data

When you begin checkout, Pawsanality stores the pet profile without its photo, assessment answers, assessment version, calculated result, and an immutable report document in a private Supabase database. Safety-check responses are not included. Report access tokens are stored only as one-way SHA-256 hashes.

We keep purchased report data while the report service operates and as reasonably necessary for transaction support, security, legal obligations, and dispute handling. Weekly encrypted database backups are retained for up to 35 days, so deleted or expired records may remain in a protected backup until that backup ages out.

Checkout processing

Polar is the merchant of record and processes checkout details, payment information, taxes, required receipts, and transaction records under its own privacy terms. Pawsanality receives order identifiers, product and payment status, and the checkout metadata needed to deliver or revoke report access; it does not receive full payment-card details.

Optional analytics

PostHog EU is initialized only after you consent. Autocapture and session replay are disabled. Funnel events do not include pet names, answers, trait scores, eligibility context, safety responses, photos, emails, report tokens, or full URLs. Your consent choice is stored in this browser and can be reset by clearing site data.

Service providers and security

Supabase hosts private application data in Frankfurt, Vercel hosts the application, Polar handles commerce, and PostHog EU receives consented funnel events. Access is restricted by service roles and database policies, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
